With Eurowings direct flight, getting to Arctic Lakeland has never been easier so take an advantage of the new connection to experience best sides of Finland – where Lapland meets Lakeland. Here are the top reasons to travel to Arctic Lakeland in winter:

  • Experience a picture-perfect winter wonderland in Finland’s snowiest destination.
  • Observe the Arctic sky: Arctic Lakeland is located under the aurora oval at the same latitude as Reykjavik offering great chances for seeing the Northern Lights and observing dark skies.
  • Enjoy pure nature away from the crowds in the ‘hidden Arctic’. Responsible tourism is close to our hearts and we aim to achieve Sustainable Travel Finland destination label by 2026.
  • Experience the Wild North and one of Europe’s best wildlife watching destinations.
  • Take part in numerous winter activities to suit all tastes: husky and reindeer safaris, snowmobiling, Northern Lights, ice fishing, downhill and cross-country skiing, rapid floating, snowshoeing and winter fat biking.
  • Experience the exotic sauna culture and taste unique local foods such as tar flavoured bread.
  • Roam in the great outdoors and see why Arctic Lakeland was awarded The Best Outdoor Destination 2024 in Scandinavian Outdoor Awards at ITB in March 2024.
