The large-scale paintings of visual artist and Master of Arts Kaisa Juntunen from Joensuu offer a magic realist view into the bear mythology of our native belief tradition.
Juntunen has discovered a living source for her art through a deep exploration of our ancient myths and the nature-based worldview at their core. Inspired by spells such as The Birth of the Bear, her works, with their flowing colors and bold lines, lead the viewer to the threshold of eternal stories.
