Kuhmo and the area of Kalevala offer a splendid surroundings for various events and activities. Culture and nature hand in hand!

Our guided activities are numerous all year around.
Winter activities cover a variety from cross country skiing to snowmobiling and snow shoe walking to husky safaris. Specialities are animal tracking, wildlife watching (wolverine, wolf, birds), aurora tours.
During the summer, we offer a wide selection of activities including hiking tours, canoeing, swimming in the nearby lake or fantastic swimming in the rapids! For wildlife lovers we have elk safari, wildlife watching (bear, wolverine, wolf) and special nature walks following the wild animals’ tracks.
This and much more you will have in this relaxing atmosphere and pure nature.
Together with our partners, we can also offer truly special experiences, such as swimming down the Pajakkakoski rapids. This wild activity can be done all year round.
