Order a private chamber music concert by a local duo for your group in Pajakka Hall of Kuhmo Arts Cetre.

Carvalacciduo is a chamber music ensemble featuring cellist Pietari Willey and pianist-composer Johannes Ruotsalainen. Since autumn 2021, the duo has been performing in Kuhmo as well as other cities like Sotkamo, Lieksa, and Helsinki. In the fall of 2022, they released a music video for “Song for Kuhmo,” composed by Ruotsalainen. The video has gained significant attention, being featured for instance at the 2023 Kainuu Cultural Gala and the international Border Forum 2024.

Over the past few years, the duo’s repertoire has expanded to include major chamber music works by composers such as Brahms, Britten, Debussy, and Schumann, as well as new compositions by their pianist. Both members are also active arrangers, so depending on availability the duo can possibly accommodate song request, for instance from movie-, dance-, and pop genres.

We can tailor the duration and content of the concert to your wishes. The performance can be a short music session or a one-hour concert.
