WELCOME TO ARCTIC GIANT!

DAY 1. – ARRIVAL AT ARCTIC LAKELAND

Arrival at one of the snowiest area in Finland. Journey starts from the Kajaani or Oulu airport where our driver welcomes you for the next week at the Arctic Giant. After 1 hour drive you finally arrive at the Arctic Giant, top of the Kivesvaara hill. It is time to check in and settle down. Delicious meal are served at the restaurant Makuhelmi.     

DAYS 2 -7. – WINTER ACTIVITIES IN ARCTIC GIANT

Start your day with the home made and tasty breakfast at the restaurant Makuhelmi. After breakfast its time to explore the winter  activities as a snowmobiling to snow and winter to the northern lights. From the Arctic Giant you can feel all of these winter activities starting from the hotel. Also day trip to the husky adventure and visiting local brewery starts from the hotel.

Arctic Giant is located at the top of the Kivesvaara hill at the middle of nowhere; so its really good chance to feel nature as a starry sky and northern lights and also hear the silence. Arctic Giant is perfect destination to create unforgettable winter memories.

TOUR 1: SNOWMOBILE SAFARI :  Route is about 20-25km for a variable winter trails. In the middle of the tour we stop by to take hot beverage and small snacks. Snowmobile tour fits really good for the first timers.

TOUR 2: NORTHERN LIGHTS TOUR: This adventure starts at the Arctic Giant hotel where the group head to the nearby Aurora camp fire hut. The hut serves as a base throughout the trip. The guide leads the group to the other side of the Arctic Giant area where it is possible to take pictures or observe the northern lights. warm drinks and snacks are served during the excursion.

TOUR 3: HUSKY TOUR 6KM: This tour starts from the Arctic Giant with the transfer to the husky kennel. Before husky we visit local beer brewery where we eat lunch. After lunch we head up to the husky kennel and start 6km long husky safari. This tour includes; 6km husky safari, lunch and all transfers.

TOUR 4: BASIC SNOWSHOE TRIP:  This snowshoe trip is a basic trip with instructions on how to use snowshoes. The group use a route about 2 km long. During the trip you will get to know the Finnish nature. 

TOUR 5: SNOW AND WINTER FUN: Get to know Finnish winter equipments, as a kick sled, tube hill, snow shoes. This excursion fits really good for whole family activity and for the basic getting know the winter equipment also. After this tour quest can use these winter equipment by them self for the stay. 

TOUR 6: SNOWMOBILE SLEIGHT RIDE: Get in to know evening winter wonderland by snowmobile sleight ride. This ride will leads you to the snowiest place of Arctic Giant. Route is about 4-5km. This snowmobile sleight tour fits for couples or family. Minimum 2 person. the excursion.

DAY 8. – TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

After breakfast it is time to take last memorable pictures. Our driver pick up to the airport and wish you a pleasant home journey. Hope we will see you again in Arctic Giant.
