The Burden of War monologue takes listeners into a wide range of situations for women in wartime during the Second World War. Women’s role in keeping the home front intact was very important, and women were also involved in front-line duties. Thanks to the work of the Lotta-organisation alone, 250,000 men were released to the front. Come and relive the moments of transporting cows to the evacuation, the partisan attack, the chores of the home front and how to cope when a changed man returned from the war.
